The requirements
Provide a secure and robust trading portal for a time sensitive real-time environment. Ensure that the design would pass strict banking and regularity security requirements whilst being easy to deploy to the many diverse institutions that trade bonds.
The solution
A fully redundant, no single point of failure system was designed consisting of SUN servers and Cisco Systems networking equipment. The system makes full use of load balancing and content switching technology making it a very flexible solution for the future. The environment is implemented in an N-tier architecture inline with current "world best practise".
